The poetry of childhood by Valerio Berruti on display at Fondazione Ferrero and Palazzo Reale from July
From April 4 to July 4, 2025, Fondazione Ferrero in Alba will host More than Kids, an emotional journey exploring childhood with the delicacy and depth characteristic of the artist from Alba. Curated by Nicolas Ballario and Arturo Galansino, the exhibition brings together frescoes, sculptures, and video animations, offering a fresh perspective that, for the first time, also includes the landscapes of the Langhe, depicted with Berruti’s signature essential lines. This exhibition serves as a preview of the project’s second stage: from July to November 2025, More than Kids will move to the prestigious halls of Palazzo Reale in Milan, where the artworks will interact with the historic space, further enriching the exhibition experience. In the autumn, from October to December, during the International Alba White Truffle Fair, the exhibition will return to Alba at the Church of San Domenico, thanks to a collaboration between Fondazione Ferrero and the Municipality of Alba.
A Bridge Between Alba and Milan
After hosting exhibitions dedicated to 20th-century masters such as Burri and Penone, Fondazione Ferrero reaffirms its cultural mission by welcoming a contemporary voice deeply connected to the region. The exhibition at the Foundation includes some of the artist’s most significant works, featuring large outdoor sculptures, site-specific installations, and previously unseen pieces. The show extends beyond the Foundation’s spaces, marking the beginning of an exhibition project that will continue in Milan and beyond.
Starting in July 2025, More than Kids will arrive at Palazzo Reale with a large installation in the courtyard and an exhibition route inside the palace. A monumental sculpture will be displayed alongside a new video animation by the artist. Visitors will also be able to admire previously unseen works and a selection of frescoes and video animations accompanied by soundtracks from internationally renowned composers, including Paolo Conte, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Ludovico Einaudi.
