MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea at Arte Fiera Bologna
Pavilion 25 | Booth A77

For many years, MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea has been taking part in Arte Fiera Bologna, a key event in the Italian art scene and a longstanding point of reference for collectors, curators, and institutions. The fair represents, for the gallery, not only an important moment to engage with the market, but above all an opportunity to share a coherent vision built on continuity, research, and a strong curatorial approach.

For this edition, at Booth A77 (Pavilion 25), the gallery presents a selection of works spanning different generations and visual languages, brought together by a shared sensibility: the ability to evoke inner landscapes, memories, mental architectures, and visions suspended between reality and imagination. The project unfolds through painting, photography, sculpture, and installation, where each work becomes both a space to inhabit and a fragment of narrative.

Valerio Berruti presents a group of sculptural works in which childhood—central to his artistic research—takes shape and presence in space. Among the works on view is a “shadow sculpture”: steel profiles that outline the artist’s signature child figures and cast their shadows onto the wall, turning the artwork into a shifting and immaterial image. In dialogue with these pieces, the selection also includes sculptures that were recently exhibited in Milan as part of More than Kids at Palazzo Reale.

Marco Tirelli brings to the booth a series of highly essential polyptychs from the 1980s, works that fully reveal the origins of his visual language: a measured, introspective painting practice in which form and light create a silent balance between presence and apparition.

Paolo Ventura is featured with a group of works previously presented at MAMbo – Museum of Modern Art of Bologna, focused on the city of Bologna itself. For Ventura, the image becomes a stage set for memory and autobiographical fiction: a carefully constructed visual narrative where places and architecture transform into inner landscapes, suspended between documentary reality and imagination.

The presentation is further enriched by artists who share a poetic sensibility and a strong tension toward the essential. Franco Guerzoni explores matter as a repository of time, through layers and stratifications that recall imaginary geographies and archeologies of thought. Mirco Marchelli introduces works where objects and materials turn into traces and visual scores, suggesting an almost musical dimension, in which silence and matter become instruments of listening. Luca Pancrazzi, a new addition to the gallery’s programme, offers a rigorous and sensory language—an exploration of rhythm, emptiness, and perception, where the boundary between figuration and abstraction remains deliberately subtle.

At Arte Fiera Bologna, MARCOROSSI artecontemporanea renews its commitment to a vision that brings together research and openness, curatorial depth and the desire to share: an invitation to discover artworks that do not simply depict the world, but reimagine it—transforming it into experience.

We look forward to welcoming you at Arte Fiera Bologna, Pavilion 25 – Booth A77.
