Giosetta Fioroni has developed a strong and expressive visual language over more than sixty years of activity. She navigates effortlessly across painting, drawing, performance, video, theater, ceramics, and fashion, boldly intertwining her work with her life. She enjoys employing various media, combining signs, symbols, common objects, and text in each piece to explore human emotions and connections. Her Pop-style works reinterpret personal and collective memories, dynamically engaging with her imagination.

Biography: Giosetta Fioroni was born in Rome in 1932. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome under the guidance of Toti Scialoja, and her first paintings were exhibited at the Rome Quadrennial in 1955. In the early 1960s, she began frequenting the Caffè Rosati in Rome, becoming part of the Piazza del Popolo School with Tano Festa, Mario Schifano, Franco Angeli, and other artists. Giosetta Fioroni has participated in numerous important exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad, throughout her career. Some of the major ones include: a solo exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome in 1961; participation in the significant 1964 Venice Biennale, which celebrated the phenomenon of pop art worldwide; inclusion in the exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York in 1976; a retrospective at the Museum of Rome in Trastevere in 2011-2012; solo exhibitions at the MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome and the Drawing Center in New York, both in 2013; and a solo exhibition at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA) in 2017.
